Bespoke Magic Tricks
Bespoke magic tricks. What exactly do bespoke magic tricks mean? This blog will give you a few examples of bespoke magic tricks as well as examples of campaigns I’ve worked on over the years. It is worth noting, that as technically brilliant as a magician might be, creating personalised magic tricks require the magician to understand your creative needs. You should be able to pick up the phone and bounce ideas back and forth with ease!
What is bespoke magic?
I’m guessing you have a rough idea of what a bespoke magic trick means. It means a magician performs customised magic tricks specific to your corporate event, wedding, product launch, tradeshow, or anything else! There are varying degrees of complexity to customised magic tricks. Below we look at some simple examples as well as some slightly more complicated ones. Feel free to email me if any of this is confusing!
What to consider for bespoke magic tricks
If you ask any experienced professional magician what is possible, they should say, “Anything”. That is the truth. But it is also dependent on two (fairly obvious) factors…time and money. The more time and money you have, the more that is possible. Creating bespoke magic often involves a lot of variables as a magician will likely be utilising other suppliers so it is best to give as much time as possible! Most of the bespoke magic I tend to create is for companies as a corporate magician. This can include trade shows, product launches, client appreciation events and marketing campaigns.
PLAY SHOWREEL
Bespoke Playing Cards
This is arguably the most cost-effective way of making a magician’s performance feel curated to you. Any close-up magician will have a wide variety of tricks they can perform with playing cards. Having your company logo, brand message or party artwork incorporated into their routines is a great way of associating an incredible moment of magic with your event. Not to mention, it is the perfect keepsake!
A Magical Message
This is where the floodgates open and the creativity flows. Incorporating your company MO or strap line into a magic trick can have a potentially colossal impact on clients. However, it is so important the magician you are working with understands your product. Beyond this, they need a clear understanding of your goals for the partnership. The last thing you want is to crowbar in your company message with a magic trick and render a potentially magnificent moment utterly meaningless. Any collaboration should feel seamless, and slick and leave your audience feeling utterly blown away!
An Interactive Miracle
This is where a magic trick is created that can be shared on social media for the benefit of people at home. They directly experience the magic. It should feel like the person watching is having the trick performed on them. There are plenty of opportunities to incorporate your company!
A PR Storm
You might be looking to create a real “hero shot”. A moment of magic that is so impossible it compels anyone who sees it to talk about it, share it, and relive the moment forever! A great example of such a stunt in recent history is the magician who walked on water, Dynamo. This caused absolute hysteria on social media and captured the imagination of the entire nation. There are a few reasons this stunt worked so well (but I won’t reveal all the secrets here!).
Bespoke Events rand Brand Campaigns
In recent years I have worked alongside companies such as L’OREAL, Ralph Lauren and Amazon to create bespoke magic that captures their audience’s imagination and stimulates long-term engagement. I have delivered at everything from intimate high-end events to global marketing campaigns. When it comes to bespoke magic tricks, no event is too big or too small!
Not Just The Trick
This is where you want to hire a magician to create bespoke magic who is more than just a competent performer. Whether you are looking for a close-up, television, stage, or virtual magician/mindreader, you must work with someone you feel inspired by. Any creative process flourishes through chemistry and hard work. The best idea wins, not the one that is the easiest to do. If you hire a magician who tries to cut corners, it’ll show, potentially damaging your brand as a result! Whilst I am based as a London Magician, I have delivered bespoke magic as an international magician all over the globe. Enquire today by clicking here and I’ll help steer you in the right direction!
