Unique Wedding Entertainment Ideas

Over the years, we’ve seen so many beautiful weddings and couples are getting ever more creative with unique wedding entertainment ideas.

If you want guests to be talking about your wedding for years to come, it’s crucial to plan entertainment throughout the day and evening to keep people engaged.

The good news is that there are plenty of wedding entertainment ideas for you to choose from. There are more creative and unique ideas for a wedding reception than you may think.

Sit back with a coffee (or any drink of your choice) and take a look at some of my favourite wedding entertainment ideas.

I’m a little biased here but I do strongly believe a wedding magician is a brilliant wedding entertainment idea. Hiring a magician for your wedding will definitely make it even more magical!

A magician will generate unforgettable reactions from your guests and have them gasping for more! It also provides you with some amazing photo opportunities too.

Ensure to let your wedding magician mix and mingle with guests during the drinks reception or wedding breakfast with some close-up magic to create some wonderful moments of joy and awe.

If you’re looking to hire a wedding magician, look no further than yours truly!

The second wedding entertainment idea on my list is a caricaturist! I’ve always been fascinated by caricaturist artists and the way they can create such comical pieces that are so stunning!

This is a great entertainment idea for a wedding reception because it creates a big talking point and guests will have a little memento to take home with them too!

Interactive Photobooth

Photo booths are always a big hit amongst guests at weddings. There are lots of different options out there as well with some of these being very fancy!

A couple of popular options include airstream studio photo booths and vintage van photo booths. If you do choose this as part of your wedding entertainment, make sure there are plenty of props and encourage guests to use a hashtag too!

If you’re looking to hire a photo booth, check out The Burbage Booth Company, Airstream Studio and Event Rhino.

Fun Games

Another really great option when it comes to entertainment for your wedding reception is to put on a number of fun games for guests to enjoy at their leisure.

A few options include:

Beer pong
Giant connect 4
Ring toss
Giant jenga

These fun games are sure to bring about lots of laughter amongst guests and get people up and mingling!

This one may surprise you a little but inflatables can be great wedding entertainment for your guests and not just the children either! After a long and magical day, guests will want a way to let off some steam and what better way than providing them with inflatables to enjoy.

If you’re worried about these inflatables being tacky, don’t worry because you can find some very boujee inflatable buildings and slides that will wow your guests!

A bit more of an extravagant wedding entertainment idea now … fireworks! This is a great way for the evening to come to a close and who doesn’t love a fireworks display right?!

You may have to check whether this is possible at your venue of choice and if you’re given the go ahead, don’t hesitate because it’s the perfect finale for what will have been a magical day and evening!

Acrobats & Fire Dancers

Another very unique and unexpected wedding entertainment idea is to hire acrobats, fire dancers, stilt walkers, fire breathers and circus or carnival acts. These are all amazing spectacles to behold and your guests will definitely remember your wedding for so many years to come as a result!

If this sounds like the perfect wedding reception entertainment, head over to Circus Uncertainty and Julia Charles Event Management to find out more.
